Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

ROACHDALE – Funeral services for C. H. Aliff, 72, who died Saturday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Perkins Funeral Home here with interment in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary. He was a member of the Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge F&AM 602 here. From 1933 until 1943 he operated a trucking line. He was born March 7, 1895, in Virginia. On Nov. 8, 1922, he was married to Frances Stewart in Illinois. Surviving are a son, Hampton of Rt. 2, Ladoga; a brother, Andy of Southport; a sister, Mrs. Della Holiday of Plainfield and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1965.   --– jlr

Note: This is Colonel H. Aliff 1898-1967 according to his stone in Roachdale Cemetery. F(rances) ? Cleon Aliff 1905-1965 & her parents are also on the stone George T. Stewart 1874-1956 & C. Ellen Stewart 1875-1943 Son Hampton mentioned above is also on the stone listed as Hampton Jr. 1925 - so imagine it is Colonel Hampton Aliff. Interesting man ! kbz
